Lord, ignite your fire in our hearts. Let your fire come down from heaven and fill us with your Spirit. These days the world thirst and hunger for you, but most don’t know you. Lord, move your church to action. Move your church to fulfill your command to deliver your message of salvation in Jesus Christ before it is too late. Lord, your name has been exalted in this generation like never before, yet there is a sea of people who don’t know you. Show your wonders, show your might, open the spiritual eyes of the blind and the spiritual ears of the deaf that they may see and hear clearly that there is none like you. Fill us with your fire. Let us burn in passion for your name.
Pray for revival in every church of Christ. Pray for a move of the Holy Spirit to stir up the heart of every Christian. Revival means to bring new life, like a second wind. Ask God to give you this second wind, to renew your strength and purpose.
Day 38 – Mark 1:14-19; Mat 4:22 - I will be very intentional
Lord, I will follow your example. Jesus knew that the time was ready to preach the good news of salvation and he devoted his life to save the world. This year I intend to carry out your command to follow you. I will be obedient and step in faith to do your will. If necessary I will leave behind earthly possessions. In your name I will cast out demons and people will be set free. In your name I will pray for the sick and they will be healed. I will deliver your good news to the world against all odds. In your name I will work towards the unity of your bride, the church. I will not be discouraged because I know my reward is great in You.
Ask God to help you from this moment forward to live a life with a renewed purpose. Ask God to give you give you the strength to detach yourself from love of material things and to set your mind into that which is eternal.
Day 39 – John 4:35; Luke 12:54-56; Matthew 16:2-3 - I will remain alert to the fulfillment of the prophecies
Lord, as your prophecies unfold in this generation, unveil my eyes that I may see the warnings signs as they are written in your word. Lord, give me insight into your truth that I may share it with the world around me. Give me understanding of your word. You have engraved your law in my soul, and given me a new name. Now Lord, open my lips to speak your word. Move my feet to walk in the path you have ordained for my life. Move my hands to work for you. Use me Lord to bring peace, and understanding. Fill my heart with your love to share with the world around me.
Pray for knowledge to gain insight in God’s word. Ask for courage to speak it. Begin to share what God is revealing to you with those around you at home.
Day 40 – Eph6:18; 1 Thessalonians 5:17; Psalm 34 - Last day of this set of prayers but will not stop praying and praising.
Lord, as I conclude this day 40 days of seeking your face I want to thank you for exposing my soul to Your Truth making me new again. Your love and power floods my soul. My cup is overflowing. I will sing my praises to you because you have set me free. You have destroyed the bonds of sin and the curses from life. Your touch is a fire that purifies my soul. Your Spirit reigns in my life. No longer I long to please my soul by pleasing my flesh, but it is my joy to worship you in every breath I take and in every move I make. Every word I say and thought I think is to praise you. As I await your soon return, I will break bread and sup with my brothers and sisters in the church as often as I can.
Thank God for a successful time of prayer. Do not let your guard down. Praying time is not over. We need to continue praying without ceasing. His praises will remain always in our mouths. Renew your commitment to fellowship with God loving, Bible believing, Spirit lead people.
